Getting started with VStok
Create your first project, add competitors, and run an audit to establish your baseline AI visibility score.
Create your account and first project
Sign up at vstok.com with your work email and confirm your address from the verification link. After login you land in the app workspace — click New project to open the setup wizard. Give the project a clear name (your brand or client name) and choose a project type: Website for a domain-based brand, Mobile app for App Store or Google Play listings, or Hybrid when you track both.
Enter your primary website URL or app store link and select the market or language you want to measure first. VStok uses this to scope prompts and competitor context. On the Free plan you get one project — make it your flagship brand until you upgrade. Save the project and you are taken to the project dashboard, where setup tasks guide you through competitors, prompts, and your first audit.
Add your brand and competitors
Open Project settings and confirm your brand name, domain, and any product names you want tracked. Accurate naming helps VStok detect mentions in AI answers. Next, go to Competitors and add three to five rivals that buyers compare you against — use the brands AI is most likely to recommend in your category, not just your largest SEO competitors.
For each competitor, enter the official brand name and website. VStok calculates share of voice relative to this list, so keep it focused on direct alternatives. You can edit competitors later, but changing the list resets competitive baselines on the next audit. Hybrid projects can also add app competitors by store listing URL.
Build a starter prompt set
Navigate to Prompts. VStok tracks buyer questions — the queries potential customers ask answer engines. On Free you can activate up to 10 prompts; choose them carefully. Start with one commercial prompt ("best [category] tool"), one comparison ("[your brand] vs [competitor]"), and one alternatives prompt ("[competitor] alternatives").
Use Generate prompts if you want VStok to suggest intents based on your category, or add prompts manually. Each prompt has an intent tag (commercial, comparison, alternatives, and others) that groups reporting in the dashboard. Review wording so prompts sound like real user questions, not internal keywords. Save and activate the prompts you want included in the next audit run.
Run your first audit
From the project dashboard, click Run audit (or Start audit in the setup checklist). VStok sends your active prompts to the AI models included in your plan — OpenAI on Free, plus Gemini and Perplexity on Starter and above. The run takes a few minutes depending on prompt count and model availability. You can leave the page; status updates when the audit completes.
When finished, open the Dashboard to see your AI Visibility Score, mention rate, sentiment, and average position across prompts. Check Competitors for share of voice and Prompts for per-query breakdowns. This first run is your baseline — rerun after content, site, or positioning changes to measure progress. Free includes 50 AI checks per month; each prompt × model sample counts toward that limit.
