Reading your VStok dashboard
Understand visibility score, share of voice, citations, and per-prompt metrics so you know what to fix next.
AI Visibility Score and headline metrics
The project dashboard opens with your AI Visibility Score — a composite measure of how often and how favorably answer engines mention your brand across active prompts and models. It combines mention rate (did the model name you?), sentiment (positive, neutral, or negative tone), and average position when you appear in a list of options.
Below the score you see trend deltas versus the previous audit when history exists. Mention rate alone can mislead: a brand mentioned last in a five-vendor list still counts as a mention. Use position and sentiment together to judge recommendation strength. Filter by model, intent, or date range to isolate whether gaps are engine-specific or universal across ChatGPT, Gemini, and Perplexity. Hover tooltips on each metric explain the formula in plain language.
Share of voice and competitor benchmarks
Open the Competitors view for share of voice — your brand's percentage of mentions relative to tracked rivals on the same prompts. A 40% share means you are mentioned two-fifths as often as the combined set in aggregate competitive answers. Rank order shows who AI recommends most frequently right now.
Drill into per-prompt gaps where competitors appear and you do not. These gap rows are high-priority content opportunities. Compare model tabs when available: some rivals win only on Perplexity because of citation-heavy answers while you lead on ChatGPT. Export or snapshot this view before strategy meetings; share of voice shifts as models refresh training and retrieval sources. A sudden drop may reflect a competitor PR spike rather than your site regression — check citations first.
Citations and authority sources
The Citations panel lists domains and URLs that models reference when answering your prompts. Citations explain why a competitor ranks — review sites, Wikipedia, news articles, and comparison blogs often dominate. Your goal is not to appear on every source but to ensure authoritative pages that describe your product are in the retrieval set.
Group citations by prompt to see which content shapes each answer. If the same third-party list ranks you fourth, outreach or updated list inclusion may move the needle faster than new on-site copy. Citation gaps in VStok recommendations link directly to prompts where rivals have source advantage. Track changes across audits to verify PR, review generation, or partnership efforts. Your own blog and docs pages should appear when models describe product facts — if not, improve internal linking.
Per-prompt table and filters
The Prompts table is your operational view: each row shows prompt text, intent, mention status, sentiment, position, and model-level breakdown. Sort by lowest position or negative sentiment to find urgent fixes. Use intent filters to report commercial vs comparison performance separately in team standups.
Market and locale filters matter when you run multi-region projects — scores do not aggregate across languages by default. The 90-day trend chart highlights momentum; flat lines after site changes may mean fixes are not yet indexed or cited. Combine dashboard reads with Recommendations for prioritized actions ranked by estimated visibility impact. Set a weekly review ritual: scan score delta, top gap prompt, and top citation source.
